Effective Date The proclamation entered into force on March 19, 2025, which is the date of its publication in the Federal Negarit Gazette.
Accountability The Federal Law and Justice Institute is re-established as an autonomous Federal Government Office having its own legal personality. It is specifically accountable to the Federal Supreme Court.
Primary Objectives The main goals of the institute are to undertake technology-assisted legal research and studies that enhance the efficiency, impartiality, and accessibility of the country’s judicial and justice organs. It is also mandated to build the professional competence and ethical standards of judicial and justice sector leadership and professionals through specialized training. Additionally, it serves as a center of excellence for training and research and establishes a system for gathering comprehensive law and justice information.
Repeals This proclamation repeals the former Federal Justice and Law Research and Training Institute Establishment Proclamation No. 1071/2018. It also repeals Article 98 Sub-Article (3) of Proclamation No. 1263/2021 regarding the powers and duties of executive organs.
